ELVIS PRESLEY - “ELVIS PRESLEY” (LPM-1254), A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1956 WITH "P.D." (Public Domain) CREDIT FOR "JUST BECAUSE"               RECORD: VG with clean, glossy surfaces for the grade. There are a good number of light scuffs and scratches, but none that can be felt. This Indianapolis pressing should play quite well, but expect some general surface noise, nonetheless. The labels are without any writing, stickers or sticker residue, but do show a good amount of light spindle marks and wear about the spindle hole. This is an early pressing with 1S/1S matrix numbers and showing "P.D." (Public Domain) credit for "Just Because", on Side 1. This is, of Course, Elvis' historic debut album, released in March of 1956.     COVER: G+ with the upper and lower edges fully split (please see all photos). Evidence of an old tape repair is present. The tape has left its usual residue and has long since fallen off. The spine shows a bit of cracking and wear, although the lettering remains legible, partly due to being off-center and readable on the back of the cover! Corner wear is evident. There is not much bending to speak of and ring wear is actually quite minimal for a cover of this vintage. Some light staining and scuffing is noticed on the back side. Own a piece of Rock 'n Roll history!                      INNER SLEEVE:  The original "onion skin" (glassine) sleeve from the era. The usual tears are observed. The record will come housed in an additional plain white sleeve for shipping purposes.
