OK - BACK TO LPs OF VARIOUS STYLES FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1956 U.S. RCA VICTOR RECORDS self-titled historic debut LP from Elvis Presley. It is RCA Victor Records U.S. catalog number LPM-1253, thick heavy rigid vinyl pressing, black RCA Victor Records U.S. labels with silver print, with 'Long 33-1/3 Play' inscription at bottoms of labels, ""NEW ORTHOPHONIC" HIGH FIDELITY" is centered on label under Nipper. Matrix / Runout Side A: Stamped G2 PP1282-9S; Matrix / Runout Side B: Stamped G2 PP1283-9S. Green logo box at upper right on cover.

Condition of record is somewhat better than is usually seen with this title, mid VG+ with some surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play - Record plays through very nicely with a little light scattered crackly surface noise, nothing distracting. Condition of cover is VG-/low VG with a 3" split in the right side of the top edge and a 1" split in the right side of the bottom edge (I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside), a 1" black spot along the bottom edge which extends upward for about 1/2" onto the bottoms of the front and back covers, some small light stains on the back cover, a fair amount of ring and contact wear, and some general wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no tears, writing, or stickers. Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original RCA Victor stock inner sleeve, which has some wrinkles. This 1956 vintage press LP would be a nice addition to any Elvis Presley or roots rock-n-roll record collection!
