Description
Description: Elvis Presley lpm 1254 first album self titled. Rare version includes red and white sleeve with pictures of elvis' different albums all over it on both sides. G2 pp1282-20s monaural deep groove early press. ELVIS' name is in bright pink, not pale super rare version!
Condition: When grading condition I put a lot of thought into it and used The Gold standard Overall I rate the album, disk, sleeve and jacket to be in Excellent condition.
If I had to evaluate only the condition of the disk only, I would say it's in near mint condition, like the article says, when giving this kind of grade I got more than one opinion and from an expert. There are some small scratches that are from removing the disk from the jacket, nothing big as far as scratches go. Considering the age this type of condition is rare! Though I have not had the chance to play through the album, it looks like it will play flawlessly, looks like a new record, shiny and everything.
The reason I would only rate the condition as Excellent is because of the condition of the jacket, and the sleeve. The sleeve has a small tear about 1" or less where the bottom of the record would sit. Unfortunately someone has also written their last name on the back. ACTUAL PHOTOS SHOWN I tried to take detailed pictures of the front and back and all the sides. Some photos were taken up against a mirror so that is why the print in some pictures may look reversed.
