ELVIS PRESLEY – FROM MEMPHIS TO VEGAS (LSP-6020) RARE PRESSING ON FLEXIBLE VINYL WITH ERROR CREDITS!  

RECORD 1: VG FLEXIBLE VINYL with pleasing, glossy surfaces, though marred by many scuffs and non-feelable scratches. The labels show the ERROR CREDITS which erroneously show the songwriters for “Words” as Tommy Boyce-Bob Hart and “Suspicious Minds” as Frances Zambon. This error was on all First Pressings of this album in November of 1969 and once it was discovered, the correct songwriters of  B., R. and M. Gibb and Mark James, respectively, were properly put in place within one month. However, this was while the record was still being pressed on RIGID VINYL! The flexible copies were not introduced until sometime in 1971 when “Dynaflex” was introduced, so for the “Error Credits” to appear on a flexible vinyl disc is definitely an anomaly! The Orange Labels are clean and original, VG++ (EXC), showing just light spindle marks. The matrix numbers on this record end with 2S/1S and it is an Indianapolis pressing.

RECORD 2: GOOD NON-FLEXIBLE disc with one lengthy, feelable scratch on Side 3. The record shows many other scratches and scuffs and appears to have been played more often than Record 1, which is unusual for this set. The Orange Labels are VG++ (EXC), very clean and original!    

COVER: VG++ (EXC) with no seam splits, tape, writing, saw cuts or staple holes! A small amount of edge and ring wear is noticed as well as some wear at the corner tips. A beautiful, fully original gate fold cover! The original inner sleeves (57 & 56, respectively) from 1970-71 are included.
