ELVIS PRESLEY -HMV "Rock 'n' Roll " (CLP 1093) - 2nd PRESSING !
RECORD: Visual Grading -VG+ both sides retain a high gloss ! There are some light wispy sleeve withdrawal marks when viewed under a bright light . Upon inspection under a bright light I see some faint hairlines and two tiny surface marks about 4mm long. One one each side. I am being very critical. This is a 2nd Pressing cover (Yes HMV issued a second pressing cover for both HMV albums not to long after the first pressings. I believe are rarer than the first pressings. HMV logo to the bottom left on second pressings)
LABELS: Rich in colour with minor spindle marks and R T tax code.
COVER: Shown in protective cover- VG+. The flimsy sleeve has fairly survived well.
The cover as you will see in certainly all there. Still rich in colour. No rips or repairs. Oval flip backs in place and complete and tight
Spine has some text missing but not ripped see images. Typical decompression marks from vinyl being stored in the sleeve over the years. Some shelf wear to corners as shown and tiny lamination peel in places in particular to the rear opening as shown. I note a draw your attention the frontal cover shot and close ups of loss of printed matter. Small in real scale terms but I got close so no hidden agenda's. ( Could be overlaid from a damaged original for those restoration types among us)
The white areas remain white with just very minimal soiling
No tape, writing or staple holes whatsoever! A truly clean and original cover. This LP due to being less common that the first pressing cover is one that is worthy of placement in a high-end collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.
INNER SLEEVE: The original HMV inner sleeve, actually clean and no rips , repairs or writing . VG+
