Description
Up for auction is a copy of Heartbreak Hotel b/w I Was The One by Elvis Presley, a purple & gold label UK pressing released in 1956 on His Master’s Voice cat no 7M 385. The first Elvis 45 to be issued in the UK, this was the record that started it all.
Condition: some surface makrs to both sides, but no serious gouges or feelable scratches, though there is what appears to be a small heat mark on the edge of side two, which doesn’t affect play. There’s a little writing plus some lift from sticker removal on the a-side label, but the b-side label is clean. Pushout centre intact. Grades probably VG- to VG all round.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
