Description
A great opportunity to buy a copy of a RARE 7 inch VINYL single from the 50's by Elvis Presley called "Hound Dog" with "Don't Be Cruel" on the B side.
This is a U.K. pressing from 1956 on the H.M.V. label (45-POP-249). This is the rarest version of this release, as it has the purple label with gold print as opposed to silver print.
The vinyl is in a GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many light surface marks noticeable, but nothing too serious. I have played both sides and it doesn't jump or stick and it plays remarkably well and sounds much better than you would expect from its appearance.There is evidence of some crackle on the run-in and run-out grooves, but overall it is very listenable.
The labels are clean and free from any writing, stickers or major defects, apart from a very small surface tear on the B side at the top close to the rim. The vinyl is completely flat with no warps of any description.
The matrix numbers are 7XAV 1471-1N (side A) and 7XAV 1472-1N (side B).
The record is housed within an original company sleeve in a GOOD condition.
This is a very collectable 1950's Elvis single and should be of interest to avid collectors.
