Description
This is an original 1956 45 rpm record and picture sleeve release by Elvis Presley with the Top 40 recordings of "Hound Dog" b/w "Don't Be Cruel" on RCA Records #47-6604, black label with dog at top. This record was issued with a few different label variations. This label has the smaller, thinner title print with no periods in RPM. Song credits are printed on two lines (instead of three). Record has a high vinyl gloss with just a few minor light "paper" scuffs. Playback is excellent, clean with nice sound and vocals. The labels look good, no surface wear. The picture sleeve also was issued in two different versions. This is the first version with "Hound Dog" printed above "Don't Be Cruel." The sleeve is in solid shape with very little surface wear. There is a small vertical tear on the top edge of the front (near center) and a small center seam split at the bottom. Please view photos for overall condition. The record gets an Excellent rating with a VG+ grade on the picture sleeve.
