VERY LARGE RARE POSTER
40" x 60" (102cm by 152cm) (approximately)
Condition : EX- folded, pin holes
Original vintage 40 x 60" (102 x 153 cm.) poster.
Elvis Presley, Joan O'Brien, Gary Lockwood, Vicky Tiu, Yvonne Craig, dir: Norman Taurog; MGM.
Filmed at the Seattle World's Fair of 1962, this is a time capsule featuring great musical moments from Elvis.
Elvis is seen as he appears in the film.
This special poster produced by the Reveille magazine, who were well known for doing small double sided, double page spread posters... however this one is massive... and little appears to be known about how this ended up being distributed... only a handful appear to have surfaced over the years, leading many collectors to consider this may have been some kind of promotional devise rather than an item made readily available to all readers. The magazine ran throughout the sixties and seventies, and it is believed this was produced around the time of the films release, it is possible it was done later. Occasionally other copies come on to the collectors market, with prices ranging from £200 up to over £1000... however without knowing more about it's circulation, we are opting for the low end of this price range, giving you the chance to possibly net a bargain.
A facsimile of Elvis' signature appears boldly at the left.
Poster is printed on thin paper and it is suprising that it has survived all these years.
Has pin holes in the corners and has been folded.
We have used a stock image, poster is very large and difficult to photograph to it's best... images can be supplied on request as required for those with serious interest.
