Description

ELVIS PRESLEY - " LOVE ME TENDER ", His Master's Voice (7EG 8199) Mono, 1957.

Very rare 1957, UK issue of the extremely rare Elvis EP from the 20th Century Fox film of the same name.

With G2-WH-7523-IN / G2-WH-7524-IN matrix numbers

English issue and pressing.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new paper inner sleeve.

In the name of getting the auction going, I will start this item at just 99p.

TRACKLISTING:
A. LOVE ME TENDER / LET ME
B. POOR BOY / WE'RE GONNA MOVE

CONDITION:

VINYL =  EXCELLENT-  (No heavy scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, just the very lightest of spindle trails, etc. Under a bright grading lamp, there are a few light surface marks visible, although on playback they do not correlate directly to any audible disruptions. That said, there is some faint surface noise just audibile before the music starts on the first side which can just be heard for the first few seconds of the first song, it then disappears and the rest of that side plays perfectly without interuption. On the other side, it is a similar story although the faint surface noise is still just audible for about the first 30 seconds of the first song. Again, once it's gone it plays beautifully until the end.

To my mind, although these imperfections certainly devalue the record slightly but by no means ruin it. This is of course a very collectable and expensive record and if you can put up with these minor defects, it could be a real bargain for someone who really values having this painfully rare '57 EP. Most copies of this record were played to death. From this records overall appearance and very clean labels, I am confident that this particular copy has only ever had very light use

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = V.G. (Not destroyed, but sadly not as clean as the record inside. Suffers some light creases, delamination along the open edge and on the flipbacks, slightly worn corners, not as white as it once was and some ringwear, mainly on the rear sleeve. Like the record, nowhere as bad as most surviving examples, but not really a museum piece either - see photos for further clarification

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
