ELVIS PRESLEY "LOVING YOU" Original U.S. 1957 RCA Victor monaural album. Mono LPM-1515. VG+/VG+.

1957 was a great year for Elvis Presley, the undisputed "King Of Rock & Roll".  After achieving 4 #1 hits in 1956, he already had scored two more in 1957 by the time this album was released. Contained on this record is another massive #1 hit "(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear" which stayed on top for 7 weeks. This LP, his third, is the soundtrack to his second film & the first under the long-term deal with Hal Wallis & Paramount Pictures. It contained 7 songs from the movie on side 1 & 5 non-soundtrack tunes on side 2 including the out-of-character rendition of Cole Porter's "True Love" from "High Society". Other highlights are "Mean Woman Blues"- later a hit for Roy Orbison & "Party"- a strong rocker that launched the career of Wanda Jackson in 1960. This is the original 1957 monaural pressing with the black "dog on top" label. The front is a full-bleed color head shot of the now black-haired Elvis while the back has 4 smaller b&w photos of Elvis from the film with co-stars Wendell Corey, Dolores Hart & Lizabeth Scott.

12 tracks- Mean Woman Blues, (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear, Loving You, Got A Lot O' Livin' To Do, Lonesome Cowboy, Hot Dog, Party, Blueberry Hill, True Love, Don't Leave Me Now, Have I Told You Lately That I Love You? & I Need You So.

Cover has minor corner wear on the right- top & bottom. There is minimal age wear but no ring wear, writing or split seams. Very presentable cover is in VERY GOOD+ condition. Record plays great with no scratches. Record nearly rates a MINT but we will give it VERY GOOD+ due to the fact that there are numerous spindle marks (especially on side 1). Otherwise, the black "Dog On Top" RCA  labels still look great. They have the "Long 33 1/3 Play" in the bottom center proving that this is an original mono pressing from 1957.
