ELVIS PRESLEY LP AQL1-2428 Moody Blue Black Vinyl ERROR TRANSLUCENT! RAREST EVER.
What we gave here is an ELVIS Moody Blue Lp that is supposed to be black vinyl. However, this one is one of the first couple pressed in the run, where an error was made. The black vinyl was not well mixed and the result is a completely translucent lp. When looked at with no backlighting it appears to be black but when held up to the light... BAM!
To be clear... This is not one of the colored vinyl copies that were made for in house use back in 1977. Those lps only came in white sleeves with hand written labels on the vinyl. No matter what anybody tells you, the "colored" vinyl (other than blue) with printed RCA labels are not the in house records. Those are bootleg copies at best.
This album was made as black vinyl and sold as black vinyl but it is not standard black. This is even rarer than those in house copies that were each one of a kind. Those have sold for more than I am asking for this one and this is a production ERROR!!
Cover is VG+ (small scratch on cover, see photo) Vinyl is minty and looks unplayed.
I have been collecting records for 40+ years and have owned many copies of this pressing and have only ever seen one of these. It might be the only one in existence. I've owned for 20+ years and have decided to sell it to cover medical bills.
