ORIGINAL "ELVIS PRESLEY" RCA DEBUT LP FROM 1956.   

MATRIX / VINYL DETAIL: 

• Matrix numbers G2PP-1282-6S - G2PP-1282-5S  Number 1 of A1 visible on side one with B3 only slightly visible on side 2, machine stamped which appears to be the Indianapolis pressing.  See highlighted matrix info below.  

• Long Play. Black label, All print on label print is silver. "NEW ORTHOPHONIC" HIGH FIDELITY on right side, all upper case, below the 1 for side 1.   

• LPM1254 (CG2PP-1282) on opposite side. 

• LONG PLAY 33 1/3 along bottom with copyright detail Radio Corporation of America Camden NJ Made in USA at outer edge of label. 

RECORDING QUALITY:  

• A few small scratches mostly visible on side 2

• I've owned this record for thirty five plus years and believe I'm the second owner.  I played it for the first time on December 28th 2016. 

• I played the record all the way through on a quality Denon turntable with Ortofon cartridge. Record plays extremely well with minimal pops.  One skip on side one, song "One Sided Love Affair".  Side two plays super clean even through visible scratches. 

• I rated this recording VG based on visible issues and I don't want to misreprestent, but based on sound quality, I would give it a VG+

JACKET QUALITY:

• Front Cover, Green, Pink and Black inks are strong and vivid. No signs of sun fading. 

• Back cover is clean with minimal yellowing from age. 

• Bottom edge of jacket is ripped through 2/3 of the way through in spite of being stored without the record inside plus in a plastic outer sleeve

• VG Rating based on the rip at the bottom of the jacket.  Other than that, it's a VG+ or better.  

• Box on bottom right of back cover shows details on RCA Victor New Orthophinic High Fidelity Recording, Beware the Blunted Needle! and Gruve/Gard Protects This Record with Nipper Gruve/Gard logo.

The condition is much better than it appears. This record is in fantastic condition for its age.  A must have for any Elvis collector.
