ELVIS PRESLEY - “LOVING YOU” (LSP-1515), A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1962, IN STEREO, WITH THE WORD "STEREO" IN STAGGERED FASHION AT THE BASE OF THE LABELS AND RARE COVER VARIETY WITH NO "(e)" AFTER LPM-1515 ON THE FRONT!                RECORD:  VG with pleasing, glossy surfaces fro the grade. There are a good amount of very light surface scuffs and scratches, none of which can be felt. This 1957 Original Soundtrack Recording should play very well from start to finish, but expect some sporadic "ticks" along the way. The labels on this Indianapolis pressing are very clean and original, with just some very light spindle marks on each side. This is a scarce First Pressing from 1962 with the word "STEREO" in staggered fashion at the base of the labels. These were short-lived as the newly designed, "White Top" labels were to be introduced in October of 1964. This album was originally released in July of 1957 in Monaural only, until this issue. The Matrix numbers on this example end with 1S/1S.    COVER:  VG with a 6-inch upper seam split. A lower central edge break of approximately 5 inches is also noticed. A lower, 1/2-inch split is seen at the open end as well. Some cracking along the spine is also noticed on this scarce cover from 1962. This is among the earliest of these covers as it lacks the later-adopted "(e)" that follows the record number, LPM-1515, along the upper edge on the front. (e) is the designation that RCA Victor uses to designate records that are reprocessed from Monaural to give a record a Stereo effect. This cover has no tape, writing or staple holes anywhere. Still quite an attractive cover for being 56 years of age!      INNER SLEEVE:  The original gray "RCA Victor" sleeve from the era.
