Mystery Train b/w I Forgot to Remember to Forget
SUN & RCA VICTOR RELEASES
Listed in the 1996 publication The Stories Behind Country Music's All-time Greatest: 100 Songs as an "enduring classic" and the first recording to make Elvis Presley a nationally known country music star.
These are original pressings (not reproductions) purchased by my grandmother in the 1950's. She wrote her name (Mary Clement) on the SUN label and her initials (MC) on the RCA Victor label. There is also the number "56" on this label, possibly denoting that she purchased it in 1956.
I have no knowledge of how to grade records, so I cannot offer an opinion. I have played both records and they do play with some static.I've been told that a professional cleaning may clear up some of the noise.There are no significant scratches that impede the play-ability of the records.The original sleeves are missing and have been replaced with new, plain white sleeves.
