Starting in January, I will be listing most of my personal collection until all collectible records are sold. What does not sell will be later donated to charity as I am leaving the hobby after collecting for 48 years. I sincerely hope that all my prized records will go to the most avid of collectors like I have been all these years and that they will be proudly owned and well treated. A word about photos; some of the listings will show what may appear to be duplicate images. The reason for this is that some were taken with a flash and others without the flash, especially on LP covers with shrink wrap where there may be backflash.

RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with beautiful glossy surfaces! There are just some very light surface scuffs seen under a bright light that do not result in any skips or repeats but a few very subtle “ticks” were detected on Side B on test play. “Masterfonics GAM” is etched into the dead wax trail-off as seen on most blue vinyl copies. These AFL1 Black Vinyl records were pressed in July and into early August of 1977, just prior to Elvis’ untimely demise. Once Elvis died, RCA switched back to blue vinyl where it remained until 1980 when the first AQL1 prefix records were pressed in black vinyl. There is nothing “rare” about these black vinyl copies with the AQL1 prefix! The black vinyl AFL1 copies such as the one for auction here, were pressed in small numbers and are therefore quite rare, especially in high grade. The etched matrix numbers on this Indianapolis pressing end with 1S/1S.

COVER: MINT in full original shrink wrap and with just one shrink sticker, hyping the inclusion of “Moody Blue” and “Way Down”. Blue Vinyl copies are found with a second shrink sticker, reading “The Blue Album”. The yellow “Kmart” price sticker of $5.97 remains fully affixed on the front. The original “ELVIS” (54F) inner sleeve is included.

All of the records in my listings are U.S. pressings unless otherwise stated. Payment is expected within 5 (Five) days from close of auction via PAY PAL ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. I normally ship within 3 (Three) business days from close of auction, but please allow a little extra time in the event of a holiday.

All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
