2015 Record Store Day exclusive release from Third Man Records press - 10" facsimile (exact reproduction) of My Happiness / That's When Your Heartaches Begin, first ever recordings by Elvis Presley. released in a plain brown unsealed sleeve, without any hype sticker
On July 18, 1953 Elvis Presley, then 18 years old, made his first amateur recording on a 78rpm acetate disc for four dollars, with two songs: "My Happiness" on side A and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin" on side B. The recording takes place in Memphis at the famous Sun Studio Records of Sam Phillips. Elvis offers this unique copy to his mother, Gladys, for her birthday.
the copy is new, unplayed and straight from the store, however it shares the same quality as its' original - some crackles might be heard due to imperfections on the acetate template. the record sounds exactly as it was discovered - no remastering or sound "clearing" were done to it, just digitally transferred.
