Description
You are bidding on a rare, original, early rock and roll, 45 rpm, EP (extended play) record, and accompanying jacket, from 1956 by Elvis Presley, entitled, "Elvis Presley", on the RCA Victor record label, #EPA-830. This is the rare issue with the RCA dog on the top of the labels and the title strip at the top on the front of the jacket. The songs are, Shake, Rattle, and Roll/I Love You Because and Blue Moon/Lawdy, Miss Clawdy. The labels are in very good plus to excellent condition. The vinyl is in very good plus to excellent condition with bright and vibrant colors. The mirror-like vinyl gloss is tremendous. The jacket is in very good but closer to very good plus condition. There is a small area of light damage on the front cover by the middle of the right edge where the record slides out (see detailed photos), by the top of the upright bass of the musician. This does not distract too much. There are a couple of small bubbles of the surface on the front of the jacket by the bottom edge which do not affect the color. The edges and corners are nice (see photo). The back side cover is very nice. The white background is very nice with the exception of a few spots of soiling at the middle and another area of light wear. There is an original, very small price sticker on the back cover at the upper right hand corner that states, "1 49". (I believe this stood for one dollar and forty-nine cents.) Also, on the back cover, at the upper left hand corner top edge is stamped, "ED STROTHER SK 1251". This has been a critical description for the serious record collector. This is a very nice record and jacket.
