A GREAT COLLECTOR'S ITEM AND IN VERY NICE CONDITION!

THIS IS A GREAT RECORD FOR ELVIS COLLECTORS AND ROCK'N'ROLL. AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THE ROCKABILLY CLASSIC SUN 223 'MYSTERY TRAIN/ I FORGOT TO REMEMBER TO FORGET' BY ELVIS PRESLEY. THIS COPY WAS ISSUED IN 1955, THE FIFTH AND FINAL SUN RELEASE BY A NEW SINGER CALLED ELVIS PRESLEY.

The record has a very nice shine, high gloss, with just 2-3 very light scratches seen only under a strong light. For a 50 year old record the condition is remarkable. This is a copy that plays beautifully, clear sound, just about no background noise. The playing surface is about as good as I have seen on an original Elvis Sun 45 and I would grade it conservatively as a strong VG+, some might have graded it as excellent..

The labels are fresh with a little wear, no tears, no stickers, just a neat name on the right side of the 'Mystery Train' label which has a little more wear than the 'I Forgot' label which has hardly any wear. You can see these on the scans. This copy would make for a nice display and would be a great record to own.

Now for the details: This 45 has the trail-offs 45.u-156x 20 and 45. u-157x 20 with the 1cm gap before the 20 as it should be for Mystery Train. I've held plenty of Sun 45s and this is absolutely right. Mystery Train was the fifth and final Elvis Sun issue and did not have the push marks notable on the first four releases. As a bonus this copy also comes with an old Sun sleeve in very nice condition should you wish to use this for display.
