Description

ELVIS PRESLEY-Here is your chance to own Elvis' very first record album. Self titled. LPM-1254. Made in 1956 . Matrix #'s-G2PP-1283-1S & G2PP-1282-3S. PINK & Green letters. THIS ALBUM IS NOT A REISSUE. ON THE REISSUE THE LOGO ON THE UPPER RIGHT IS BLACK INSTEAD OF PINK & GREEN, & THE BACK COVER HAS THE LETTERS (RE) FOLLOWING LPM-1254. Don't be fooled. The record has the P.D. credit (Public Domain). Let me explain P.D. The 6th song on side 1 is titled "Just Because". On every record except the very first release the song-writing credits are given to Bob Shelton, Joe Shelton and Sid Robin. The very first release of the album gives the song-writing credit to P.D.-Public Domain. You can imagine how upset Joe, Bob and Sid were upon learning they were not going to receive any royalty checks. Joe, Bob and Sid's lawyers cited copywrite  infringement and the subsequent pressing were changed. This record is from the very first release. The record has no chips or stickers, has a nice high gloss and appears hardly played, there are some minor scratches, no deep ones. The cover is beautiful, NO writing, stickers or marks, it has some slight shelf wear on back and some invisible tape on lower seam. Original inner sleeve. I SHIP WORLDWIDE. See photo's>> Check out my other Elvis items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list! I ONLY ACCEPT PAY PAL AS PAYMENT.
