Description
You are bidding on one copy of Elvis Presley's first LP released on RCA as LPM 1254 in mono in 1956. This is not a reissue, but one of the original pressings of the album (note the top right logo in pink & green as opposed the the reissue's black & white) with legedary cover (rated by Rolling Stone as one of the best of all time) and excellent sound.
Unlike so many copies that are found today, this unit bears no marks, writing, or tape on either the sleeve or vinyl label. It plays perfectly and is not worn at all, meaning it brings you as close as you can get to being in the studio when on January 10th (54 years ago today!!), Elvis began to make this materpiece.
The front cover is in VERY GOOD condition with barely any inkware and one small split (less than one inch) on the bottom right. Back has some ink wear but is fully legible, looks great. The vinyl is also in GREAT condition with only two short cosmetic scuffs on side 2 that do not affect its playability.
Copies of this pressing in like condition are going for $500, but I'm starting the bidding much lower. Feel free to get in touch with any questions!
Track List:
Side 1: Blue Suede Shoes, I'm Counting on You, I Got a Woman, One Sided Love Affair, I Love You Because, Just Because,
Side 2: Tutti Frutti, Tryin' to Get to You, I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry, I'll Never Let You Go, Blue Moon, and Money Honey.
