ELVIS PRESLEY - ROUSTABOUT (LPM-2999) SCARCE “SILVER TOP – MONO” HOLLYWOOD PRESSING!

RECORD:  VG++ (EXC) with just a few light scuffs away from full Near Mint! This Hollywood pressing is truly a rare find in this lofty grade. These were pressed in small numbers just prior to the label design change in late 1964 in which the Silver “RCA Victor” was replaced by the logo being printed in White. Furthermore, the Silver Top “Roustabout” records were pressed exclusively in Hollywood, making them even more scarce! ALL Indianapolis and Rockaway copies of “Roustabout” were pressed using the “White Top” logo styled labels. This particular record will play beautifully, with no skips or repeats! RCA Victor’s “New Orthophonic High Fidelity” will be as true as it was in 1964. The “Silver Top – MONO” labels are simply gorgeous with just some wear seen about the spindle hole, which indicates some play time, but this record was obviously handled very carefully by an adult its entire life. This Original Soundtrack Recording was released in October of 1964 and was the last #1 album for Elvis until “Aloha From Hawaii – Via Satellite” in 1973! The matrix numbers on this record end with 3S/12S.    

COVER: NM with approximately 70% of the original shrink wrap present! There is a section of shrink on the back side that has long ago torn away. Fortunately, the exposed area did not allow for any ring wear to form. This cover is fully original and simply stunning! There are absolutely no seam splits or pesky staple holes to spoil the originality of this cover. The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40A) inner sleeve is included.
