RUNAROUND WRECKORDS PRESENTS! For your consideration we have a 1956 Self Titled Original Long Play MONO Elvis Presley LP.This album plays wonderfully yet has the "expected wear" you might find. Due to the nature and rarity of this LP I will describe it as close to perfect as possible. It is playing as I type and it sounds awesome. (I would rather sell my stereo copy than this one!) To begin, the cover is brilliant yet has a 7 & 1/2 split in the top seam. Never taped and when it is resting on a table,etc..you cannot tell. (no missing paper,etc.) The bottom right has a crease,and the upper right has a much smaller crease on the pasted image. (it does not bend through to the other side.) This same type "crease" is only on the pasted image near Elvis's right shoulder.*(compared to many I have seen...this is a very nice sleeve) ON THE REVERSE SIDE: VERY MINOR WEAR! **(please see pictures) I am uncertain if the RCA VICTOR inner sleeve is the original.
AS FOR THE LP: AS I said, I am playing every song...it sounds awesome! This is the Long Play Version, "Just Because" Silver writing, LPM-1254. The LP does have surface scratches on both sides. I would expect to hear "crackles & pops" but so far so good...and this LP brings that warm, rich sound you would want to hear from the King.
I will grade this (and "under grade") of a G+ (however I feel this one should be a very good plus due to the rich sound) NO SKIPS, POPS, CRACKLES,ETC. A WONDERFUL SOUNDING AND HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE PIECE.
