ELVIS PRESLEY Sings Rock 'n' Roll No.1 CLP 1094 Very Rare 255-1N/256-1N. Cover has a black background with 'ELVIS' inscribed/set in white onto the black. It has a shiny flip-back cover. Made in Gt. Britain. HIS MASTER'S VOICE.
Elvis Rock 'n' Roll No. 1 written on original inner anti-static sleeve but the No. 1 is not written anywhere else.
I have not seen this album with the same cover so believe it to be very rare.
Plays well - some pop and crackle/little background noise here and there, more audible at the beginning of tracks. At the beginning of Blue Suede Shoes - sometimes there a skip for a second or two after the first 9 bars or so. It does not always skip and depending on how your deck is set up and its balance, you may be able to avoid it. No other skips and no jumps, plays through really well. There is a hissing sound at the beginning of Cry Over You on Side 2 about 1 to 2 seconds.
The sleeve is in good plus condition - the creamy print on back is marked but only lightly and generally where the outline of the record is defined. The flip back edges have weathered well and none are damaged or torn except slightly in bottom left-hand corner on back of cover. There are creases on the edges and edges/corners are a little scuffed (see all photos). Nothing appears to be written on spine although it is a little scuffed also.
