On offer a very scarce 78rpm of 'Stuck On You' on UK RCA.
The good news is the labels are very clean and aside from one thin feelable scratch across most of 'Stuck On You', the playing surfaces aren't too bad - there are the usual 78 usage marks and scuffs but overall I would grade as VG minus. Except for a gentle wipe with a moist kitchen towel I've not cleaned it further (I daren't!).There are no chips or cracks. After further inspection there are some small feelable scratches on the flipside, again not interfering with play. There are also a number of very small 'dents' on the flipside, and on 'Stuck On You' there are like 3 trails of again very small 'dents' which almost follow the grooves. I think this odd phenomenom is something to do with the heat that warped the record.
The not so good news is the record is quite noticeably warped, but I played both sides first on a Dansette Bermuda and then on a modern deck that plays 78s with a lightweight pick up, and the record plays fine on both. I did make a short video of it playing for 30 seconds on the Dansette but for some reason I couldn't upload it here.
Despite its faults a very rare 78 indeed and one missing from many elvis 78 collections. STRICTLY UK BIDDERS ONLY, I've packed many 78s and never had a breakage yet.
