ELVIS PRESLEY – TODAY (AFL1-1039) TRUE AFL1 COPY with RARE TAN LABELS!
RECORD: VG+ showing several light scuffs on the glossy surfaces. This Indianapolis pressing was tested in its entirety and it retains full high fidelity although there were some random “ticks” detected in areas. There were definitely no skips or repeats! This record is very common with the APL1 prefix, but to find an actual TAN LABEL copy with the AFL1 prefix is extremely difficult to do! By 1977 when this record was pressed, virtually all RCA Victor LP’s bore the new black label with “Dog Near Top”, so it is assumed that a great minority of these AFL1 Tan Labels escaped the Indianapolis pressing plant. The labels on this copy are clean and original, showing just some light spindle marks. This album was originally released in May of 1975 and includes the hit singles, “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” and “Bringing It Back / Pieces of My Life”.
COVER: VG++ (EXC) with some bending to the upper left corner as well as edge wear and wear at the corner tips. Ring wear is very light and mainly seen on the back side. The updated catalog number, AFL1-1039, is seen on both sides as well as “RE” (for “reissue”). The original “ELVIS” (54F) inner sleeve is included.
