1956 break-in record


Shortly after Buchanan & Goodman released the first break-in record "The Flying Saucer" this platter was rushed out by Milt Oshins. It as August of 1956 and Milt takes on the hot new teen sensation Elvis Presley as his topic on this silly 45.

He identifies himself as Poindexter Q. Rocknroll from radio station K-R-A-Z-Y and interviews Elvis who answers in song. Of the records used, there are five tracks from his Sun Records releases, so this must have been a southern DJ to have heard those records enough to consider them part of this production.

At the end of side one, he even slips in a platter by Gene Vincent! The whole affair as pressed up on Pelvis Records and is pretty tough to find these days.
