Description

Artist:  ELVIS PRESLEY

Title:   “Elvis Presley”

Label:   RCA VICTOR.  Black label with white dog, silver text.  Monaural first-pressing on medium weight vinyl, with deep groove.   Catalog number is LPM-1254.

Date 1956.

Condition:

DISC:  Vinyl retains 100% of original gloss, has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  Grades nice VG+ to VG++ with a couple light hairline scuffs on each side that do not affect the listening experience, plays closer to VG++.  No serious marks or problems.  Fidelity is superb.  Labels are clean.

JACKET:   Jacket is EXCELLENT with nice bright artwork.   Seams, spine, and surfaces are excellent.  Two very tiny chips on bottom seam.  Reverse has darkened to a very soft off-white with age, but otherwise is clean and immaculate.  No writing, stickers, or cutout indications.  Overall a beautiful jacket, nicer than most!

A very fine copy of Elvis’ legendary first LP, a true rockabilly classic.

On Apr-13-12 at 05:59:50 PDT, seller added the following information:

NOTE:  Upon re-examing the cover, I need to note a couple minor flaws that I had not previously noticed.  Looking at the reverse, please note that there are three places with a tiny pair of staple holes.  One is at the top right corner (reverse) which is also visible on the front at the top left.  The other two sets are only visible on the reverse, and are vertically placed on the opening edge, one is 4 inches from the top, and the other is 3 inches from the bottom.  You may be able to see them on the enlarged view, but they are not easily notice and do not detract significantly from the overall beauty of the jacket.  I have never seen a copy of this album with such a stunningly vivid front cover art, without any trace of surface or ring wear whatsoever.  Despite the aforementioned minor flaws, this remains a gorgeous jacket, nicer than most.
