I have put photos of the book from my copy of this album, it's the same as the one in this sealed picture disc version.

The Legendary Performer series was first issued in 1973 / 74, obviously with Volume One.

It was the first time RCA had released rare material by Elvis to the public, besides the odd different mix / alternate slipping out by accident on a single / Lp.

This series was so ahead of it's time, the sleeves had a round cut out port hole to the front (die cut!!), so the photo on the inner sleeve or book could be your main Lp art work. The book itself was Lp size, with a lot of thought  going into the content, information / photos galore.

It seemed that RCA had put some extra thought into this project, it was for its day a deluxe official release, RCA respecting what fans wanted, unheard & rare tracks, but it was business as usual for corporate, this was Elvis and that loyal Elvis data base meant there were ££££ / $$$$ to cash in on, it was win win for both sides, you cannot deny it was a welcome release of albums at the time.

All of this material is available on other formats now, due to fan demand, cashing in since 1977, bonus tracks, box sets and FTD, let's not forget the unofficial bootleg releases too.....but this series is still fabulous and sits so well in the Elvis Presley catalogue of official album releases.

SEALED / NEW - ORIGINAL - 1978....👀

Over 40 years old and still as pure as released

I have put a Condition of nearly mint, even though this is new and sealed from the day of release, it has still seen 40plus years of being looked after, so I've put a slight minus to its condition, to be sensible.
