COLLECTORS WILL KNOW THAT THIS IS A RECORD THAT WILL ONLY COME UP FOR SALE ON FEW OCCASIONS-EVEN MORE SO COLLECTORS WILL KNOW THAT TO FIND ONE THAT IS IN SUCH CONDITION IS AN EVEN RARER EVENT.
THIS RECORD IS IN SUPERB CONDITION WITH NOT ONE SPINDLE MARK. IT LOOKS AS NEW AND THE ONLY EVIDENCE THAT IT IS NOT IS THE VERY FAINTEST OF LINES ON THE NON-SOUND INSIDE EDGE OF THE RECORD-NOT VISIBLE UNDER STRONG NATURAL LIGHT BUT ONLY UNDER A STRONG LAMP

First of all I am not a record dealer merely someone who collected vinyl from mid 60's to mid 80's and inherited lots in 1980 from my wife's father (where this Elvis record originated) and am now attempting to sell them to de-clutter.I have been listing vinyls for about 3 months and sold approx 35 without any problems and numerous glowing feedbacks-until yesterday. I had sold a Beatles single I described as excellent+. The buyer has demanded a refund-which I will give-stating that the record was only in good/very good condition and had obviously had many plays. To my eye in strong natural light the record had looked excellent. I don't have the means to play records so my assessment is solely based on visual inspection-which to date judging by my feedback had been ok.
I know that this is a very rare and highly desirable record and it has been priced accordingly. After the episode with the Beatles single I am apprehensive that any buyer-forking out way over £100-will reject it and request a refund. While I don't object to a refund as you will appreciate this will mean me incurring £15/£20 in e-bay commission and paypal fees.
I have rechecked the record-yet again- and side 2 is still very shiny and still looks excellent to my inexpert/non-dealers eye. Side 1 is slightly less shiny and being the 'popular' side must have had plays.As regards spindle marks both centres have very slight wear (as previously advised) but there are none of the marks you see from trying unsuccessfully to put a disc on the turntable
I am less than keen on potentially incurring £15/£20 in lost fees if the record is rejected by any buyer so I would prefer if buyer paid by cheque to at least reduce some of these costs. Although I would refund in full including postages if not satisfied, I would reserve the right to pass on 50% of my lost e-bay commission costs and paypal charges, if applicable ,to mitigate my 'losses'.
