Description
Original UK LP Elvis Presely - Rock n Roll. 1st UK issue of Elvis' first UK album! with fully laminated flipback sleeve and the rare 1st pressing HMV label. CLP 1093. Nipper the Dog HMV Gramophone labels denotes the very first pressing from 1957! Record Collector Price Guide values this LP at 550 GBP+! Mega Rare LP in good condition, The sleeve is in good condition and shows some wear, but I've seen much much worse and for it's almost 50 years of age looks pretty good! The sleeve grades VG- in my opinion, but I've detailed all the faults below! The front is glossy, has a little creasing, some on spine and some top right corner. There are two small tears, which have been very cleverly repaired from the inside and a little tape on the outside over the laminate. Nothing is missing, it's just been repaired as these sleeves are very fragile and almost like paper rather than card! Sellotape top and bottom seams, but not discoloured and hardly noticable! The back of the sleeve is good too, no tears - top flipback intact, save a small piece top right hand corner , bottom flipback looks to be pretty much totally intact. Some light creases down the spine and along the mouth of the sleeve and a small tear repaired at the mouth... again the sellotape top and bottom seams is barely visable (there is an old brown sellotape stain at the top centre back and bottom centre back) but no where else on the cover! All in all a pretty fine sleeve and I have not really seen a lot better recently... they are usually all torn and even missing!. If i had to grade it, it must grade a VG- or there abouts. I've described it all pretty honestly and not tried to hide anything. The record is a little better and grades VG and plays well, consider there are a lot of marks... with some noise on quiter parts, but no skips or jumps. This has been well played, plays amazingly well considering it's age ... still OK sound quality. Clearing out lots of items due to house move. We are downsizing all our stuff, and these cherised albums have to go. Good Luck
ANY OF THE WHITE GLARE MARKS ON THE SLEEVE ARE CAUSED FROM THE FLASH AS THE SLEEVE IS GLOSSY (LAMINATED), ALSO THE WHITE MARKS ON THE RECORD ARE CAUSED BY THE FLASH, THEY ARE NOT DAMAGE AND ARE NOT PRESENT ON THE THE LP SLEEVE OR RECORD. THE RECORD IS AS DESCRIBED ABOVE
