Item Description

I purchased a RCA HiFi stereo record player in 1956 and received this 1st edition 7" 45 RPM record set as a promotional gift.

The twin sleeve cardboard cover comes with the two original extended play records.

There are two spots of something on the one side of one of the records as can be seen in one of the photos of "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry" and "I'll Never Let You Go".

These spots do cause a clicking in the audio when being played but the song does play through OK without skipping.

The horizontal lines across the records supposedly prove they are an original release. I played all songs on my stereo record player, which is not the one I bought in 1956, and they all sound very good except the one spot as noted above.

The cardboard sleeve is in good condition, no stains and only slight seam tears on open ends of the cover. There is some slight wear from being stacked with other record albums and the white background has darkened somewhat with age.

The record labels are in very good condition as can be seen in the photos.
