Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery LP - 1973 1st Press UK Release Catalogue Number: K53501 (Sleeve) MC 66669 (Labels) This is the first release in the UK - the vinyl was pressed in the US by Atlantic Records at Speciality Records Corporation. They were then imported back to the UK for housing in the K53501 1st edition fold-out sleeves. Matrix Numbers: Side 1 - ST-MC-732991-G (Large S with R and C in the loops) AT Side 2 - ST-MC-732992-G (Large S with R and C in the loops) AT Record: EX Playtest of Side A revealed just the odd bit of static here and there. Labels are in pristine condition. Vinyl has some marks on Side B that will can likely be cleaned up. Sleeve: VG+ Fold out sleeve has a crease/bend on the right fold out almost half the way up. There's also a little nick on the edge of the right fold out. A little scar on the inside cover where, I believe, the poster/insert was held in place (see below). Light bruising at corners. Back cover is in excellent condition. Includes original inner sleeve. Poster/Insert: EX To pick up from the above, a corresponding scar is on the insert where it was attached (by a spot of glue?) to the sleeve. Otherwise, the poster/insert is in excellent condtion showing signs of handling only. This record has been rated based on Record Collector's Grading System It will be packed in 12" Cruciform corrugated cardboard mailer with a cardboard stiffener.
