Description

EMI Columbia Records original mono three disc boxed set, 33CX 1296-1298.  All three discs have the earliest grooved blue and gold labels, pressed in England.  No stereo of this.  Early maroon box.  Includes both the 8 page insert and the hard to find complete libretto.  This did not originally come with the libretto, it had to be purchased separately.

Puccini, Madama Buttrfly, complete opera, with Maria Callas, Nicolai Gedda, and Lucia Danieli.  Herbert von Karajan conducts the chorus and orchestra of La Scala.  See pics for complete cast and program details.
