Description

EMI Records original mono three disc set, on five sides, ALPS 1345 (single sided), ALP 1346, and ALP 1347, in individual jackets. First red and gold labels, pressed in England.  Gregor Piatigorsky, cello, and Solomon, piano, play the five sonatas for cello and piano of Beethoven .  See pics for program details.

Discs VG++, some superficial sleeve hairlines, very little sign of spindle wear.  Plays very nicely, but there are some very light tics here and there that do not hinder your enjoyment of these great performances.  Jackets VG, still intact, but with some scars from stickers being removed, and minor soiling on the back.

Not a NM collector grade copy, but one that is highly enjoyable to listen to.  If you don't want to pay the very steep premium for a really NM copy, I am confident that you will be happy with this one.  A very rare and sought-after set.
