Description
These are two excellent first edition gold cream EMI ASD 489 and ASD 490 issues of Yehudi Menuhin playing the Bach Six Sonatas for Violin and Harpsichord.
Both records and covers made in England.
The records themselves have no visible scratches that I can see in daylight. Only minimal surface marks and appear glossy. They have not been professionally cleaned. They play excellently. They are not CD silent but definitely at least very good plus: there are no jumps, skips, or pops. The rich beautiful sound of Menuhin's playing is very predominant.
The covers are shiny and bright and in amazing condition, have no splits or tears and are rated as excellent if not near mint. There is slight wear at the open corners as is normal.
There are also excellent condition original sleeves on the records.
A wonderful solid addition to any fine collection. One of the world's great violinists is here at the height of his powers.
