THE EMPEROR'S-45-"I Want My Woman" b/w "And Then"-Sabra Records #5555-DJ Issue-MONSTER 1966 TEXAS-Related- California Garage-Punk-Originally fabled as a Texas group, this is actually a California group produced by International Artists/13th Floor Icon/Producer Lelan Rogers. Most of you are probably familar with this record via 'Psychedelic Unknowns' and various other comps over the years-if not-a MONSTER 5-star KILLER! A side is 2-guitar driven, based on "I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone" structurally, one guitar steady while the other is a non-stop stinging and savage lead break that starts in the beginning and lasts throughout the duration of the track...badazz and evil lead vocal.. one of the most KILLER tracks...B side is of lesser intensity, but still great, has similar elements and a great lead guitar break...GREAT 2-sider...HOLY GRAIL MONSTER!!!! Condition: Record is MINT-Minus on A side; ALMOST MINT-Minus on B side; has some light paper scuffs visible in certain light angles...BEAUTIFUL copy...
