Rare Kraut/Folk/Psych/Rock? orig. Pilz LP PILZ stereo (20 29077-8) Very rare 1972 German album, variously described as "Krautrock", "Cosmic Folk",
"Psych Rock", "Psych Folk" depending on where you look. The following details and review are lifted from a fansite...........
Maik Hirschfeldt, vocals, guitars, bass, synthesizer, flute, cymbals, vibraphone, muzzle drums.
Dolly Holmes, vocals, organs, electric piano, piano, mellotron, electric spinet.
Dieter Dierks, percussion, bass.
"Emtidi were a folky duo of Maik Hirschfeldt and Dolly Holmes who managed to sing like a subversive version of Peter Paul and Mary with their close harmonies. Between them they turn in some organ and electronics riffs of charming simplicity and striking melodic richness. Most of their tunes are in a soothing modal key, and only occasionally are there excursions into trippy cosmic improvs, which may come as some consolation to listeners who fear that Krautrock is a home for the overblown and self-indulgent school. Dieter Dirks added percussion and mellotron, and the legendary Cosmic Courier Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser produced."
Please note there is a slight flaw in the vinyl which looks like it might have been caused by heat. It can only be seen in very strong light, and it takes the form of very fine spidery lines which intrude about 5mm into the first track on both sides for about 65mm of the circumference. There's also a very slight warp of no more than 2mm deflection. This fault intrudes audibly about 25 seconds into the very quiet intro to track 1 side 1, but is much less noticeable in track 1 side 2. If it were not for this the vinyl would rate a NM grade. The laminated gatefold sleeve is ex., with very light ringwear and a slight corner crease. It is unmarked.
