Here's a unique item! It's a copy of Leonard Feather's book 'Encyclopedia of Jazz in the Sixties' which belonged to the celebrated English poet Philip Larkin! Larkin was a great jazz fan and critic, writing two books on the subject and a regular newspaper column, and had a substantial collection of books on jazz. Many, but not all, have Larkin's initials 'PAL' on the inside cover - this one does not BUT it does have tucked inside it Larkin's BUPA health insurance renewal form, addressed to him at his house in Hull. The book itself is hardbound, 312pp, pub. Horizon Press, NYC, 1966, 1st Ed, and comes complete with dust jacket. Many superb photos. The book itself in uncommon, and to have the added cache of being previously owned by a major 20th century poet makes it unique! CONDITION: Excellent; a few tears on the dj.
