A SUPERB UK FIRST PRESSING OF A TREMENDOUS LP AND ONE INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Eno's solo debut, Here Come the Warm Jets, is a spirited, experimental collection of unabashed pop songs on which Eno mostly reprises his Roxy Music role as "sound manipulator," taking the lead vocals but leaving much of the instrumental work to various studio cohorts (including ex-Roxy mates Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay, plus Robert Fripp and others).
Eno's compositions are quirky, whimsical, and catchy, his lyrics bizarre and often free-associative, with a decidedly dark bent in their humor ("Baby's on Fire," "Dead Finks Don't Talk").
Yet the album wouldn't sound nearly as manic as it does without Eno's wildly unpredictable sound processing; he coaxes otherworldly noises and textures from the treated guitars and keyboards, layering them in complex arrangements or bouncing them off one another in a weird cacophony.
Avant-garde yet very accessible, Here Come the Warm Jets still sounds exciting, forward-looking, and densely detailed, revealing more intricacies with every play

LABELS: The labels are CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear/marks/unwanted writing and light to moderate spindles only really evident when angled under a bright light
VINYL Visual: The vinyl still retains its DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. The surfaces are practically UNMARKED apart from some superficial light scuffs on the beginning of both sides but these are of NO audio consequence
VINYL Audio: SUPERB - CRYSTAL CLEAR, DEEP, RICH AUDIO. There are NO scratches, NO skips or jumps, barely any clicks/pops (really, hardly any) and the LP plays to an extremely high standard with SUPERB AUDIO CLARITY, NO groove-wear and NO distortion. Sounds SUPERB throughout - FANTASTIC LP. Must be very critically graded EXCELLENT+ for audio and NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page)
SLEEVE: The cover is in EXCELLENT to (+) condition. CLEAN and UNMARKED with NO edge wear to speak of and only light record impression. The spine - which is pinched at the top and bottom - is CLEAN, SHARP and FRESH with ALL text CLEAR and BOLD. Very, very fine example of this untreated and easily worn sleeve
