Note : musiche composte da Enzo Scoppa, arrangiamenti di Cicci Santucci. Due grandi musicisti jazz alle prese con un tema musicale fuori dalle loro abituali composizioni. Il risultato è validissimo : le varie situazioni belliche sono volutamente espresse da scarne sonorità senza enfasi e pleonastici arrichimenti orchestrali. Guerra tradotta in musica come i rumori di un deserto tormentato da venti tempestosi. Uso prevalente di batteria e percussioni, poche note da altri strumenti e in alcuni casi avvalendosi di effetti sonori anche elettronici come in " SFOLLAMENTO " e " INSIDIA ".
Notes : music Enzo Scoppa, arrangements Cicci Santucci. Two great jazz musicians grappling with a music theme out of their usual compositions. All the same the result is very efficacious : the various war situations are deliberately described through bare sonorities without any emphasis and superflous orchestral enrichments. War expressed in music like the desert's noises troubled by stormy winds. The tracks are mainly based on drums and percussions with the addition of a few notes by other music instruments. Furthermore the musicians avail themselves of special sound effects taken also from electronic sources as on " SFOLLAMENTO " and " INSIDIA ".
