Description
Hard to find first pressing of "Epic Forest" by Rare Bird with Bonus 7" single.
1972 Polydor Records 2442 101 (A1/B1 Matrix)
Fantastic example of this highly collectible album including the sometimes elusive three track 7" single. There is no poster with this record but the overall condition of the item more than makes up for that. The album cover is in great shape without any writing, tears, seam splits and no major ring-wear or edge-wear. The only real sign of wear is some damage to the bottom left had corner which is slightly squashed but is hardly noticeable. The remarkable cover artwork is still bright and vibrant and shows no signs of fading and all of the text can be read clearly along the spine. The sleeve is graded as Excellent+
The vinyl itself retains its sheen and lustre and looks almost unplayed without any major scratches, scuffs or marks. The red polydor labels are free from marks and writing and only show a few spindle marks. The sound from the record remains rich and full of depth and definitely does justice to the amazing songs on the album. Surface noise is almost non-existent on this record which is important as many of the tracks start off quietly or have quieter passages within. due to its exemplary condition, the vinyl is graded as Near Mint.
At some point the 7" single was seperated from the album and received a little more wear to the sleeve which is graded as Very Good+. The vinyl single plays really well with only a tiny amount of surface noise (which is normal for a thinner 7") and is conservatively graded as Excellent+.
