DESCRIPTION:

This is a Vintage Original LP Box Set of four Albums titled: "EPOCA DE ORO DE LA MUSICA CUBANA Y LAS POESIAS DE JOSE MARTI" (Golden Age of Cuban Music and Poetry of Jose Marti) Three of the discs contain 36 of the Music hits and the fourth disc has the Poetry. There is no date anywhere to be seen but the box and sleeves are consistent with at least 40 years worth of discoloration and aging stains. I think it must have been recorded in the 60's or 70's. You can see the 36 songs by checking the photos.The back reads that it was manufactured by: SOUTH EASTERN RECORDS in Opaloka, Florida, which is a few miles north of Miami.

The discs are near mint. I don't think they have ever been played. Some of the discs have a couple of very feint imperfections that look like maybe it was from handling. At least two of the sides are in mint condition. I rate it as "near-mint" The discs play like new records with no noise at all, and look like new with a lot of luster.

The box top is great with two bad corners and just a bit of shelf wear. There is discoloration and yellowing. The bottom of the box is better, with no bad corners, less shelf wear and very minor discoloration.

The inner sleeves are completely intact, (again, I don't think the records were ever played) there is not a bent corner, no tears, nothing. They would be perfect if they had not become discolored and stained from age. most of them are not that bad at all.

All of my Records are gently used, come from a smoke free home, and have been properly stored in a cool dry environment.

GRADING SYSTEM:

SS
(STILL SEALED)

Sealed at factory and never opened. Disc is assumed to be undamaged and mint, but this cannot be proven until the album is actually opened and the disc examined.

M
(MINT)

Perfection, no flaws, defects, marks or otherwise indications of being handled or played. Any scuffs, hairline scratches or other marks disqualify discs from this category. I do not use this grade, as even the act of inserting the disc or removing it from the paper sleeve may cause scuffmarks on the vinyl.

NM or M-
(NEAR MINT or MINT MINUS)

This is highest grade that I will assign to opened, handled records. The vinyl is virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A very minor, barely visible scuff or two may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. The label is bright, clean and unmarked.

EX or NM-

(EXCELLENT)

Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs. There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two with very light pop or crackle. Vinyl is bright; label is clean and may show only very light marks.

VG+ EX-
(VERY GOOD PLUS)

Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact, possible some sound quality loss. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials, etc.) but otherwise reasonable & clean.

VG
(VERY GOOD)

Vinyl will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise, but do not overpower the music. There will be no skips. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull and grayish. Labels may have small tears, tape marks, larger writing, etc. but still easily legible. There may be wear or deformation of the spindle hole.

G
(GOOD)

Well-played, dull, grayish vinyl with deeper scratches and wear causing distracting surface noise (hisses, pops, cracks and other nasties). The record will still play through without any skips. Labels may be significantly defaced or damaged.

F
(FAIR)
P
(POOR)

Unless the record is particularly rare, I would not try to sell a record in this condition. There will be major noise, surface damage, deep scratches, and skips. Attempting to listen to these discs will be painful. These discs are basically trash unless a collector desires one to fill a space in a collection until a better one comes along.
