Description

EQUUS -- Black Widow / The Desert Song -- ex. rare, original 1979 U.S. 45 single.  Apparently unknown Private Press 45 credited to Equus, a local Las Vegas, Nevada area band who only recorded a handful of songs, of which this seems to be the only 45 released.   A-side "Black Widow" is ballzy Hard Rock anthem about a bad, bad girl with screaming guitars; B-side very good Hard Rock - AOR - Prog number about mystical trip to the desert, more screaming guitars, in a kinda Kansas meets Blue Oyster Cult vein.   In generic sleeve.  Record:  VG/VG+, several light surface marks, light mottling in one spot at outer edge of vinyl which seems to be a printing defect, is barely audible in background for a few seconds at beginning of the songs; overall quite clean, on yellow private label, U.S. press.
