GRADING
M: A brand-new sealed record with a clean, tight jacket.
NM: The highest grade for a used record. A glossy record with no visible damage that may affect sound quality. Record may have one or two insignificant defects not affecting play. Cover has tight spine and seams with maybe one or two defects not detracting from overall showing.
EX: Extremely nice record that would be NM if not for a few insignificant hairlines or surface scuffs not affecting play. Cover will be structurally sound with slight wear or a more pronounced defect.
VG+: Used record in good condition that may have a series of light scuffs or hairlines. A few pops, ticks or some slight surface noise may be heard at quiet moments, but record has no serious play issues. Cover may have light wear or minor writing. Should satisfy all but strict collectors.
VG: A well-used record with a moderate amount of pops or surface noise. May have more prominent scuffs and scratches, but record should still play without skips. Cover may have split spine and/or seams with moderate overall wear. Only very rare records will be offered in this grade. I have a question about 'ERAMUS HALL Your Love Is My Desire WESTBOUND 5000 ORIGINAL FUNK Mod Soul SEALED.'
Please don't take offense with what i am about to ask, i want to avoid misunderstandings.
From what i've seen, and what i could research, reissues/represses do NOT have the Westbound logo in the bottom right corner of the front cover, and an original does have this logo, therefore: can you tell me why you think/know that this is an original pressing?

No offense taken! I understand your confusion because the Discogs listing of the record has the 1996 reissue photo showing.
1) The original pressing and the 2016 reissue DO NOT have the logo on the front. Only the 1996 reissue put the logo on the front. Another thing the 1996 reissue added besides the logo on the front is a barcode on the back, google "Eramus Hall Westbound" images.
2) Also if you want to see originals take a look at all the originals that have sold for over $100 on popsike.com. Not one of them has a logo on the front.
3) If you look closely at our photo you'll see "breath holes" in the shrink-wrap. Newer shrink-wrap machines do not use the breath holes. So you know its also an older shrink-wrap.
And last but not least, this has been in my personal collection for 15+ years. And the person I bought it from had a family member who work for Westbound here in the Detroit area. I doubt that elder person had a reissue amongst his collection of original records! I am very sure it is an original!

Due in part to the reissue photo being used as the original pressing on Discogs, and that “experts” out there contacting us are unfamiliar with what the back cover of the original pressing looks like, the LP is no longer sealed. We are not interested in dealing with any unscrupulous buyer making claims of being sent a reissue. So instead of a sealed original, the potential buyer will be purchasing an opened, unplayed, beautiful first pressing original!
Discogs photo has now been updated and additional photos have been added here.

Record: NM: nice, clean and glossy. A few very light storage wear marks.
Cover: NM: still in original shrink-wrap.
