ERIC DOLPHY AT THE FIVE SPOT, VOL. 1 – PRESTIGE 7611 – DISKMAKERS TEST PRESSING – VAN GELDER - NEAR MINT – STEREO
This is a Prestige Diskmakers Rest Pressing stereo recording of the Van Gelder live session on July 16, 1961 at the Five Spot Café, featuring Eric Dolphy on alto and bass clarinet, Booker Little on trumpet, Mal Waldron on piano, Richard Davis on bass and Eddie Blackwell on drums. SIDE A: FIRE WALTZ and BEE VAMP. SIDE B: THE PROPHET. On the vinyl, the name “VAN GELDER” stamped with no date. On the white label is “Prest 7611 Dolphy A & B”. This is a Stereo recording.
I have rated this LP as Near Mint for the following reasons. There are no marks on either side of the vinyl. There is no sign of wear on either side of the spindle hole.
