PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP
WILDLY RARE original Rudy Van Gelder mastered advance PROMOTIONAL first pressing from 1965 on Prestige's dark blue trident label in glorious mono with Bergenfield, NJ Washington Avenue address in the lower label rim text and at the bottom on the rear cover and purple/red PREVIEW COPY promotional stamp at the top on the rear cover!!! Release year is assumed to be 1965 (preview copies were sent out in advance prior to the release of an LP) but cannot be confirmed as there isn't a single entry for this pressing with a taller, more slender font anywhere in the massive, sprawling Discogs database whatsoever. THAT'S how you know it's rare. LP is a gorgeous VG++/NM-. Cover is a beautiful VG++ with barely a hint of ring on the rear and four perfect sharp corners. An absolute high grade promotional pressing with no Discogs entry. THIS is what collecting is about jazz collectors. You will not be disappointed.
