Description
Up for auction is a nice, original copy of the Eric Dolphy album "In Europe / Volume 3" originally released in the U.S. on Prestige Records (PR 7366) in 1965.
-Guaranteed original pressing -Original blue trident Prestige labels -Mono pressing -VANGELDER stamp in deadwax -Original laminated paste-down cover -Vinyl comes in poly-lined archive sleeve -No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition: Cover looks nice, lamination still has much of its original shine. No ring wear, but does show some light general rubbing on front. Lamination has a few factory wrinkles, and one small spot of lifting bottom right corner. Factory punch hole lower left corner. Back looks clean, light general rub, and some light aging along edges. Still a very attractive and colorful original. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Vinyl also looks nice, still has much of its original shine. Under a strong light, a few faint superficial hairlines and sleeve shadows show up, but nothing deep or serious--nothing that would affect the quality of playback. Labels look good, spindle holes look nice. Looks played a few times but handled with great care.
Play-Tested: I've spot tested this record, and when played in the recommended mono mode, the sound quality is excellent, full-bodied fidelity, generally clean and clear. No significant pressing or background noise--not audiophile clean, but none of these original pressings are. Very nice fidelity! Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies.
