OUTER SLEEVE:   The front laminated outer sleeve has some rubbing to the corners and the rear has yellowed a little with some staining.

INNER SLEEVE:   The inner sleeve is new and will come with an anti-static liner.

ARTWORK:   No additional artwork.

LABELS: The matt black Fontana labels are in excellent condition with just a few faint spindle marks.

VINYL:   The 146g vinyl has just a few faint surface only marks that do not affect the sound quality. PLEASE NOTE that the vinyl does have a warp, although it can make lowering the needle a little awkward it does not affect the play or sound quality in any way at all. It has been like this since I purchased it, but with it being so rare I was happy to ignore this just to own a copy! When using a record clamp (as I do) this is really only visible when playing side 2. As usual this has been play graded in FULL and has rich, distortion free, mono sound throughout.

Although a shame about the warp this is still an extremely rare record and only one or two copies come up for sale each year. Eric Dolphy's sad death (diabetic coma? some believe not?) at such an early age means that only a handful of recordings exist and one can only imagine how the world of jazz may have been had he lived longer.

All vinyl is cleaned using the "Moth Record Cleaning System" prior to sale to ensure the best quality sound reproduction from each individual disc. The Moth is recognised world wide as being one of, if not, the best vinyl cleaning system available and is used by institutions such as the BBC. I am always impressed by what this cleaner is able to reveal!!

All vinyl is play graded in full (not just snippets) unless otherwise stated. I am currently using the new flagship Project deck the RPM10 (see profile pic) with an Ortophon Kontrapunkt "C" cartridge with Audio Vector Mi3 speakers (tri-wired) and Musical Fidelity amps. If there is a problem anywhere across the dynamic range, vinyl surface this system will find it.

I am an avid collector of vinyl and cd's (and have been for a number of years) of all genres and appreciate how important accurate grading is. I have therefore used the Record Collector grading system, although you may note the use of + and - for those that fall safely inbetween.

All vinyl will be removed from the outer sleeves and all contents placed in a poly sleeve. Records will be posted in NEW (not shabby used) purpose made cardboard mailers with TWO stiffeners first class asap (usually 24hrs)after receiving full payment. I make no money (but a few pence) on postage to cover my fuel costs when travelling to the post office. I pay approx £1.25 for each mailer/stiffeners/sleeve as unlike other sellers do not bulk buy my packaging. If you have any concerns regarding postage please email for recorded delivery costs. I have had no problems to date but cannot be held responsible for items lost by Royal mail. I always get a receipt and am happy to prove postage via email. In some circumstances claiming on the standard Royal Mail insurance (up to £36) is an option (I will do this) but recorded/insured is recommended if you feel at all worried. I am happy to combine postage / shipping on multiple purchases.
