(Killing sweet vocal by one of my personal favourite ska-musicians...the often underrated but always brilliant Eric Morris...who recorded for all the great producers of the era...Coxsone, Duke Reid, King Edwards, Byron Lee, Prince Buster...a bunch of greatest ska-tunes...a versatile singer w/ a certain tendence for didactic tunes....another great tune from Duke Reid's Treasure Isle...comes as original UK press on the Island-label...1964 original press...watch out...and watch out for my other early reggae-, rock-steady- and ska-items...soundfile on request...just send in your email-address!!!)

(Wicked instrumental by this often overseen trumpeter & bandleader...who recorded a range of instrumentals which IMHO stand comparison w/ any of the great tunes from the Skatalites...this one has a top jumping ska beat and killer horns-arrangement...infact...if you don't know...you hardly will find out if the Skatalites or the Baba Brooks Band is playing...anyway...more great instrumental ska from Duke Reid!)

WAX'N'SOUND: vg / vg, both sides look a bit ruff (the B-side side looks ruffer), has some wear + surface marks as well as surface scratches, surprisingly plays really fine w/ very good full & clear sound, has excellent punch, there's some crackle to be expected and the A-side sounds dull for a moment soon after the start (you'll hear this on the clip I can provide)!
LABEL: shows general wear, writings/markings on A-side only, stain/dirt on B-side only, NO damages - watch the scan, please! Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being). THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE: EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...) P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
